Web Faves

Here is a list of our fave interior design, real estate, and just 'cause sites!  Don't see your site?  Missing your fave?  Be sure to contact us so we can add it!

Apartment Therapy: Recommended by a friend of ours in design school, this site is an awesome place to be inspired and take a peek into all the amazing things people are doing with spaces around the country.  We especially love the "House Tours"

Design Whim: They always have great finds on Design Whim, with unique touches and tips for everyone's taste!  Not just for the home, this blog has an eye for design!

Design Sponge: Even the blog design is fantastic.  Beautiful images, DIY tips, and awesome finds from around the web.

MocoLoco: Architecture meets design, for hard core modern enthusiasts.  Pictures of incredible structures and interiors.

Inhabitat: Green-focused design, and not just for the home.  Shows you that green can be beautiful, modern, and totally do-able!

Ikea Hacker: A hysterical (and impressive) blog of re-imagining and recreating from Ikea pieces.  And as big Ikea customers (we're on a limited budget...), we love the creativity!

Decor8: This blog from interior design consultant Holly Becker brings you beautiful pieces from unique artists and creative types that you won't find in the run-of-the-mill stores.

Dezeen: For the more architecturally-minded of you, this site has breaking news of the most forward-thinking architectural worlds.

Design Spotter: Want to be the first-to-know about young, hot, up-and-coming designers?  This is for sure the site for you. Get unique items before anyone else, and be totally unusual.

All The Best: "Passport to Stylish Living" is how the folks at this blog bill themselves.  We couldn't agree more!  Plus, they have a blog list that we're totally envious of.

Better Living Through Design: I mean, with a name like that, 'nuff said!  But even better, you can buy the fantastic products they feature quickly and easily.  Plus there's a ton to look through, so it's a great way to waste away the day.

Design Milk: Come here to be inspired.  You can't buy but you can look, and you may not find a better place for design porn on the web.

Style Files: Danielle de Lange is giving Dame Martha a run for her money with great musings, tips, and pics about design and "(life)style."

Casasugar: We love everything that the folks at Sugar do, but Casasugar is far-and-away our fave content site for inspiration and information.

FreshNest: Deb & Erin, the voices behind Fresh Nest Design, believe that anyone can be a designer - we just need the right tools!  And so they set out to provide these!  With some live in-home consultations and mood boards, Fresh Nest is fun to read and use!

Thrifty Decor Chick: The crafts on this blog are so inspiring and fun! And a great way to spruce up any space for not-so-much money! Reading this makes us just want to run to Michael's and get our creative juices flowing!

Social Approach: Interior Design: This site offers a really cool interface that lets you see what people are saying about interior design all over the world, connecting you to others on Twitter as well as helping you discover awesome content you'd never find otherwise!

Create Girl: Create Girl offers fantastic DIY projects and tips and gorge pics.  I kind of want everything she shows on her site, and plus, the site itself is just really pretty, which always makes for some fun reading!

Discover: Interior Design: Kristin's a grad student like us, but with a whole lot more know-how on the ID front!  We love her decor tips and especially her "Design Jargon," which is pretty useful for some novices like us!  The pulls from mags and sites around the web are especially fun to browse.

Tiny-Ass  Apartment: This will basically be my bible when I move back to NYC.  It's hysterical (that name alone!) and has amazing inspirations from real apartments!  Ob-sessed!

Many more to come, so check back!  And if you want to recommend a site, be sure to contact us!
